Assigning a Fax Extension to an Automated Attendant When an Automated Attendant detects a fax call, it transfers the call to a specific extension or Hunt Group. The extension must first be programmed as a Fax extension type in order to identify it as a Fax extension for an Automated Attendant. (see “Assigning Fax Extensions”) PARTNER Messaging allows a maximum of one Fax extension per Automated Attendant. Multiple Automated Attendants can share the same Fax extension. Do not assign a Fax extension to an Automated Attendant if you are using the PARTNER ACS Release 3.0 or later Fax CNG Detection feature. Assigning a Fax Extension to an Automated Attendant

	This removes the Fax extension assignment from this Automated Attendant only; other Automated Attendants that share this Fax extension remain unchanged.
