Assigning Line Ownership

 

If you have used VMS Line Coverage (#206, Option 3) on the communications system to assign coverage for a line, you must assign PARTNER Messaging Line Ownership to indicate which PARTNER Messaging mailbox or Automated Attendant extension should handle the call.

On the PARTNER communications system, be sure you have programmed VMS Line Coverage (#206, Option 3).

 

Assigning Line Ownership

2 Select Line Ownership. 6
3 Choose one of the following:  
  • Scan Line Ownership. Go to Step 4. 2 or
  • Assign Line Ownership. Go to Step 5. 4 or
  • Modify Line Ownership. Go to Step 5. 6 or
  • Delete Line Ownership. Go to Step 6. *3
4 If scanning Line Ownership, do the following:  
  • Enter 2-digit line number. [nn] #
  • Scan the next line. #
  • If finished. Return to Step 3. *#
5 If assigning or modifying Line Ownership, do the following:  
  • Enter 2-digit line number you want to assign or modify. [nn] #
  • Enter extension number of line owner. [nn] #
  • If finished. Return to Step 3. *#
6 If deleting Line Ownership, do the following:  
  • Enter 2-digit line number you want to delete. [nn] #
  • Choose one of the following:  
  – Confirm. 9 or
  – Cancel. 6
  • If finished. Return to Step 3.
