EMEA IP Office Technical Tip
012: IP Office and Analogue Recall Settings in Software 1.2.14
Release Date: 14th November 2002
Following an issue raised in the field, where end-users are experiencing difficulty using the recall button on analogue handsets, and subsequently
adjusting the recall timers, there follows a brief explanation of this function:- The manager application shows the Minimum and then the Maximum value fields under Extension settings.
If this description is taken literally then the resulting value will be too large to be an effective recall time, as these fields add the maximum value, to the minimum value, creating the break period range.
For Example:
A Minimum value of 25 and a Maximum value of 29 would result in a recall time between 250ms and 540ms (instead of the expected result of 250ms to 290ms)
The correct way to achieve the desired result would be to enter a minimum value of 25 and a maximum value of 4, this will give you a recall value of 250ms to 290ms, where the maximum value 4 is added to the Minimum value 25 to achieve the range required.
A further explanation will be published with the next release of IP Office software.
