This Tech Tip is written to clarify the ring feature of the Avaya 3616 Wireless IP Phone. Ring volume is not supported on this phone, nor is ring volume planned to be supported in future releases of this product.

When attempting to adjust the volume during ringing, the user will see a visual volume slide indicator in the LCD display, but this indicator is
for voice volume only. It will not adjust the ringing volume.
